With support from ARRIVES, Umar gained the training, hands-on experience and resources he needed to start his own solar business in Nigeria. Now a brighter future is in sight.
When Umar joined the ARRIVES programme, he firstly received coaching from the ARRIVES Team in Munich.
He planned his return and the establishment of his business together with ARRIVES coaches in Germany and Nigeria.
Upon his arrival in Nigeria in March 2024, Umar was warmly welcomed at the airport by our team in Nigeria.
In an intensive 6-week training programme focused on the installation and sales of solar panels, he gained invaluable practical experience.
Together with the ARRIVES team in Nigeria, he arranged necessary financial resources to kickstart his own solar panel business. This included:
Provisions such as the rental of a shop for a duration of one year,
ARRIVES remains in contact with Umar and continues to provide business advisory sessions to help him further develop his skills and expertise.
